The Year 2016

Paul Crowley (aka 366daysofphotography) is a designer, illustrator, photographer and film editor from Hertford.

Paul’s background is in both design and illustration, stretching back before the Mac revolution when type was cast and prints came out of darkrooms. But his real love is cameras, passed down from his father in the form of a slightly dented Praktica BCS. However, for all the nostalgia, he’s a firm proponent of the digital camera on account of its speed and flexibility.

Inspired (read: awestruck) by the work of Bert Hardy, Mary Ellen Mark and Vivian Maier, he tries to capture everyday moments candidly, without posing or waiting for the right shot. It’s a fast photography – a photography on the move.
