Kaleidoscope
Maria’s first piece on this scale, ‘171’ used each butterfly to represent & commemorate a day spent together in lockdown 1.0.
Her latest piece ‘Kaleidoscope’ is made with 170 sculptural butterflies. The butterflies are cut from vintage botanical books, then hand-stitched together & placed into a subtle rainbow array.
